Pastoral Message

committed parish council. The involvement of many volunteers and parishioners in parish activities. Monthly Vigil prayer and Adoration also played a key role in our spiritual growth. Regular Sunday Catechism classes with many volunteer teachers and the committed involvement of the youth is also responsible for our success. All of these are our successes as a parish and we should be proud in Christ as we do all these with God's blessing to glorify Him.

Easter provides us with another opportunity to grow further. The Resurrection of Jesus gives us the strength to work together as spirit filled disciples did. Disciples had doubts and uncertainties until they were filled with Holy Spirit. 'sin brought death' to man. Through Resurrection Jesus conquered sin, death and evil powers of this world. "Because Christ died, sin has no power over him; and now he lives in fellowship With God" Rom.4:10. We are all called to become a 'new creation' in Christ. Every lent and Easter is a call to it.

Let us remember God's blessings and pray for continued growth. I am sure that all of you agree that there should be real planning for further growth of our parish. Let us focus on what St. Paul says in Rom 6: 22-23 "But now You have been set free from sin and are slaves of God. Your life is fully dedicated to him and the result is eternal life. For sin pays its wage death: but God's free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord".

If we have no resurrected life in Christ, even though we are growing, we may not be free to grow fully as God wants. So let us all pray to remain in God's grace, filled with His Holy Spirit

Let us pray together that the jubilee year efforts as well as our renewal help us to fulfill our commitment to Jesus as Kerala Catholics.
